I like this idea of glitches and scars as being a way of tracking damage in your game. It reminds me a lot of the Sanity Effects in Eternal Darkness on the Gamecube – particularly the ones involving screen manipulation as listed in this wikia http://eternaldarkness.wikia.com/wiki/Sanity_Effects
This got me thinking about the possibility of tracking damage in ‘Strange Days’ with card overlays. Ones that distort and obscure the character cards underneath, perhaps ending in a “blue screen of death”?
Just some small aesthetic ideas for your theme on the offchance they work with what you’re going for.
