For my proposal, I want to research AI and the ethics behind it. AI or Artifical Intelligence is defined as “the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. The term is frequently applied to the project of developing systems endowed with the intellectual processes characteristic of humans, such as the ability to reason, discover meaning, generalize, or learn from past experience.” (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2018) . I have always had an interest in AI and robotics from films and tv. The film I, Robot is what really kickstarted my interest into this field after rewatching it recently. My research question is how effective would having an AI being able to go through computer records and search for cybercrimes.
