For my future cultures digital artefact, I intend to create a collection of blogs that explore different topics relating to my future as a woman in the digital marketing industry. This three-part blog series will include topics for my short term (12 months), medium term (5 years) and long term (10 years) plans, which will be scheduled during the coming weeks throughout the remaining semester. My interest to this stems from studying a double degree – Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Communications and Media and graduating within the next year. I want to kick start my future plans and look forward to my potential career. My project will target young females studying and wanting to be successful facing transitional period of our lives. Topics that I will into to do so include women in the workplace, the effects of technology and how the digital marketing industry will evolve in the short, medium and long term.

The process of making and testing includes exploring the topics of women in the workplace, the effects of technology and how the digital marketing industry will evolve in the short, medium and long term. Additionally, in my blog series, I will also be reflecting on the subject content of ‘future cultures’ through the lectures and class topics. My digital artefact requires thorough research (primary and secondary resources) prior to the blog posts coming together. This will be done through conducting secondary research, engaging with blogs, journal articles and videos whilst also allowing the potential for me to conduct primary research through polls, interviews and surveys. Moreover, the use of relevant hashtags is extremely important to gain engagement and reach relevant users.

My digital artefact will be a valuable resource as it will be filled with relevant research and discussions about the digital marketing industry and the potential future. Undoubtedly, it will be relevant to young females studying business or communications, as well as young females seeking a career path in the digital marketing industry. An insight will be given into finding their place in the future and will communicate the connection between humanity and technology. It will also encourage discussion around future career plans and raise awareness around issues involving women in the workplace. My blog can become a forum where others can comment and share their plans for the future and the steps they intend to take – this is where feedback loop will come into place and help me evolve myself and my project.

The structure of my timeline is to hold myself accountable and ensure I stay on track for my project throughout the semester. My timeline displays my future process for conducting research, ideating blogs, posting blogs, observing feedback and reiterating blogs.
